I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This was a wonderful addition to the series, The Stirling Ranch! There are some characters from the prior story that make multiple appearances here. While it is a part of the series, you don't have to read it to thoroughly enjoy this one. Veronica (Roni) comes to Butterscotch Ridge to help take care of her elderly grandmother. She used to visit her when she was growing up. Roni is getting over some tragic events in her life and being back in BR is a wonderful thing. Mark Sterling is the quintessential romeo-type cowboy. Recently he has starting to feel like something is missing in his life as all of his friends are paired up with someone. One day he is asked by his sister (Sam) to join her for lunch at the local bar. To his amazement, she is sitting with a girl from the past. Someone that he has thought of over the years, Roni. These two have much to overcome to get to their HEA and it was a joy to see how they overcame those obstacles. This story was written in a dual POV format. Seeing into the characters' thoughts really help me to get that glimpse of them to fully understand them so much better. This is a slightly sexy story with no much detail in those scenes.

We are back in Butterscotch Ridge and the Stirling siblings. This time the story belongs to Mark. Veronica/Roni James and the Stirling siblings became friends when during her youth, Roni spent summers visiting her grandmother. Once her parents divorced, she never returned. But memories of her time there and the boy that gave her her first kiss, are still in her mind. Now, after surviving an abusive marriage, she’s divorced and has come to town to help her Grams. Though she’s more beautiful than the last time Mark saw her, Roni is a shell of her old self. Skittish and tense when touched. Mark is determined to be her friend and make her laugh, though as the friendship intensifies, so do the feelings he has for her. Sadly, Roni has made it clear she will never again love or marry any man. There were very intense as well as devastating moments in the story, bur there were also moments that gave both Roni and Mark hope , chances for a new beginning and reminding Roni that the right person to open her heart and hope for a future was closer than she thought. This was another good addition to the series. I am truly looking forward to Luke’s story. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Recipe For A Homecoming is a magnificent contemporary romance by Sabrina York. Ms. York has once again provided readers with a well-written book. The characters in this book are lovable and you can't help being sucked into this story by them. Mark works on the family ranch and fosters dogs. Roni returns to Butterscotch Ridge because her cousin told her their grandmother needs someone to stay with her now. Roni and Mark's story is packed with drama, humor and sizzle and kept me glued to my e-reader. To make this story even more fun, Emma, Mark's niece makes a few appearances. She's such a hoot! I loved this book and can't wait for the next book in the series. Recipe For A Homecoming is book 2 of the Stirling Ranch Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
