About this ebook

THE FICTIONAL COMPASS is a fictional storybook. This book contains stories purely out of the author’s imagination and reflects how a child thinks. The stories are a mix of different genres and every story tells a different plot and lays out different emotions, which have been presented by the author in her unique mode of expression. Each story is engrossing in its own way. It is a marvellous compilation of different aspects of fantasies.

This book, which has been written by her without using any AI tool is a product of her creativity and enhanced writing skills. The stories are a reflection of the unique ideas encapsulated by the author. While reading the book, the readers would surely get engrossed in a world created by the young author.

About the author

vigorously involved with the events held by the ‘Debating society’ of her school. Apart from this, she has been an active participant in poem recitation competitions and made her school proud by winning an inter-house competition. For the last two years, she has been also winning the title of ‘The Best Orator’ in her class. Her fascination with listening to bedtime stories enlightened her to express her thoughts even better through writing. Other than reading and writing, she loves swimming and skating. She is fond of western dance and recently, she has tasted a new genre of dance form, which is ‘Bharatnatyam’. She wants to spread her wings through writing and enlighten society by expressing her thoughts.

Dear readers,

It is a pleasure to introduce you all to this title, The Fictional Compass written by Saaisha Agrawal, who conceptualized and articulated thoughts beyond her age, which is worth applauding. Her ink has given immense value to this book as she has written it right from her heart and I hope it will make a way to yours.

This entire journey of book writing was an epitome of persistence, perseverance and patience. The stories compiled in this book reflect different shades of creativity and perception. The entire composition is very comprehensive and binding. Saaisha’s association with her mentor had been very enriching as witnessed from the feedback by both the mentor and the mentee.

Another important aspect, which I wish to highlight here is that this book has been written through rigorous rounds of training and there is no involvement of AI in creating these stories. They are a result of the author’s enhanced creativity and original/stimulated ideation. This is commendable in an era, where students generally look for shortcuts or give up projects that require patience and consistency, especially at this young age when they are expected to multi-task in the available academic environment. For this, I would really like to appreciate Saaisha’s efforts and dedication. Her witty thoughts and compassionate traits are well reflected in the stories written by her.

While editing this book, an effort was made that the ideas of the young author in the written stories were not diluted and the stories reflected the exact texture, which the young author had intended to present.

Writing of this complete book under expert guidance by this young author is a moment of great pride for her parents and our team. I wish luck to Saaisha for all her future endeavours and hope she continues this journey of story writing for times to come. And, once again, for all the readers; I hope it is an engrossing reading experience for all of you till we bring the next version.
