This one is a cute romantic suspense read. It started with a bang, like literally, an explosion happened at the Hotel where Hudson stay, right after he check-in. Since then everything is become complicated, lots of questions and mysteries and lots of bad guys too. There's also a best friend to lovers trope here, which takes the most part of the book, yeah not a big fan of it, I'd prefer a perfect portions between the romance and the suspense, but it still a cute story, love Hudson and Avery, they're perfect for each other, although I found Avery a bit reckless, but still an entertaining read for me, considering I devoured it in one day. If you're looking for a fast-paced romantic suspense read with best friend to lovers trope, go for this one.

Suspense, friends to lovers, Terrorists on US Soil. Hudson gets some leave and heads to Vail to see his best friend Avery, sister to the woman he loved and lost and there in starts the twisted tail of Terrorists on US Soil. It is a scary thought and all to real the way it plays out in this story. The friends to lovers flowed naturally, which I appreciated. Avery was smart, compassionate, tenacious and all round win for Hudson. An easy read that brought enjoyment and made me think. Thank you for the arc, all thoughts and opinions are my own which I freely share.

This is book 26 in the SEALs of Honor series and it features Hudson and Avery. He and Avery have been best friends through the years, although her feelings for him were much stronger than friendship. It’s time they reevaluate their relationship but they’re afraid to ruin what they do have. The story line is good. The characters are ok. The problem is that both the main character’s actions (mostly Avery’s) are so far out of the realm of possibility that it makes the story less attractive. I know that things happen fast and are exaggerated in books but this is even beyond that.
