Taking the reader on a twisting journey, while enticing them to continue losing themselves in this wonderful story. This novel is packed with characters you are somewhat familiar with, while everything still appears new. Exactly as the blurb described, but so much more. Well written and completely addictive. Robbie Cox writes a storyline that easily earns five stars. Highly recommended. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I've read a lot of books written by Robbie Cox; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the first book in the Bull Creek Holidays Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Karena, the leader of the vampire coven trying to prove that it’s not the vampires that are killing the shifters when they start disappearing. Returning to visit old friends turns out to be extra-paranormal. Lions, Tigers, bears... sure we have come to expect those in Bull Creek. Vampires and Ancient Ones not so much, and certainly not a hybrid of so many. Halloween this year may be an unexpected surprise. Murder in this small unassuming community, and a story with many stylists and turns will keep you turning pages up to the end, and wanting more after that.
