About this eBook

A heart-pounding tale of forbidden love and dangerous choices in the gritty streets of North Philly.

Seventeen-year-old Keisha is the beautiful, sheltered daughter of an activist pastor with a checkered past. Jamal, a handsome and ambitious crack dealer, is the son of the city's most notorious drug kingpin. Despite the bitter rivalry between their fathers, Keisha and Jamal are in love.

When a church member is gunned down, Pastor Anderson is determined to drive Frank Nichols, Jamal's father, out of the neighborhood for good. Tensions escalate as the families face off during an anti-drug demonstration, and a high-ranking police official is killed in the crossfire. Jamal becomes the prime suspect in the murder, leaving Keisha with a heart-wrenching decision.

Will she remain in the safe confines of her father's world, or risk everything to help Jamal clear his name? In a whirlwind journey through Philadelphia's seamy underside, Keisha chooses love over safety, even if it means putting her own life on the line in Ride or Die, a gripping urban African American fiction novel by Solomon Jones.
