About the author

Richard Preston is an ex-DCI who joined Greater Manchester Police as an operational officer in a busy semi-rural area in the Pennines. Richard then joined the CID and subsequently worked undercover in Manchester before being seconded for two years to the Royal Cayman Islands Police.

After returning to the UK and becoming an Inspector, Richard then became a Security Advisor to Counter Terrorism Policing in the North West of England. He currently works for the Red Cross and lives in Cheshire with his wife and children.
