A critique of the methodology used by J. J. Griesbach, with some insightful observations about the methods by which MSS' contents should be classified and compared. Includes an extensive appendix focusing on the relationships between Origen's NT-citations and the competing text-types. Laurence frequently includes long quotations in Latin in his comments. This book is a bit shorter than it first appears. The main text ends on p. 106 ("93" printed on the page) and the Appendix ends on p. 148 ("135" printed on the page).
