About this ebook

His savage need will not let her go.

Now that his future is tied to Amara in more ways than one, King Mallaron wants her back under his control.

Whether she accepts it or not, she belongs to him, and he is prepared to overcome every obstacle to repair the damage he has caused.

Devastated by King Malloron’s deception, Amara refuses to let him have any more control over her.

But when he offers her one more deal that will give her the chance to complete her mission, she realizes it may also be a way to escape his hold.

Succumbing once again to his carnal possession, Amara tries to keep her distance, knowing he will betray her again if he gets the chance.

But their heated connection is wild and all-consuming.

And when Malloron’s corrupt kingdom turns on them both, neither of them is prepared for the revelations they both hold close to their chests.

BEWARE: This story is only for those who love an obsessive, manipulative king and battle-of-wits dark romances. See author website for full warnings.

Zoey Ellis never ceases to entertain. This was a GREAT book. Warning that it does end on a cliffhanger but it's good enough to re-read when the next book comes out (which should be last in this trilogy). In this story we learn more about Malloron's background and it helps to explain why he is the way he is. He's so closed off and he doesn't understand a relationship dynamic. Amara knows what a mating should be and she's not getting that feeling so she's not sure they are mates. This story works through their pasts and they settle into a relationship but of course we are left with a doozy of a cliffhanger on this one and now there are so many more questions to ask. I really liked this book. I thought Amara was just standoffish enough to cause Malloron to question but he's the king so everything he wants should be his. We also get an appearance from Malloron's brother and another alpha from another part of their world. There is also some tension between his enemies but he has a handle on it. Still with rumblings of war, everything isn't as peaceful or settled and he'd like to think it is. A great, fast read. I expect it's way more important to read this than to eat or sleep and if you re-read the previous book first, you might pick up some clues that you missed the first time around (I know I did). Eagerly awaiting the conclusion of Malloron and Amara's interaction. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

A series that is Powerful, Emotional and Addictive! Finally, after what felt like forever, I got to read this book and it was so worth the wait – filled with anger, suffering, desire, betrayal, etc. We get to know more about how the tenebris has affected Amara and how powerful she is, both mentally and physically. Malloron’s past is also revealed as it becomes apparent what made him the man he is. It is devastating what he has gone through and I applaud the author for her imagination and writing style as she is able to draw you in and leave you emotional, shocked at times but always craving for more. The events Malloron experienced as a child finally make it obvious why he was/is hell bent on getting the tenebris out of him and into another ‘host’. I am not a fan of MM and the author does not take it that far, but the relationship between Emric and Banon does give a bit of a break from the main characters while making it even more interesting. Emric is such a sweet guy him and as his background is uncovered, it also provides insight why Malloron is so close to him. Yes, some questions are answered in this book, but at the same time if leaves you with even more. Once again, this book ends in a cliff-hanger and it is a doozy – the first book of this couple may be titled Reign To Ruin but this ending certainly ruined me! I will anxiously be waiting for the next book to read the conclusion of Malloron and Amara's story. This is book 5 of the Myth Of Omega series and I would not recommend this book be read before reading the previous 4 books in the series. (Although books 1-3 are different couple with their own hea, they are mentioned and do make appearances in books 4 & 5 and it just gives you more of a foundation to Malloron and Amara’s story.) I received an arc of this book and this is my honest review.

I adore Zoey Ellis! I can’t get enough of these characters and this world. Normally I turn off sometimes when authors go into detail about background elements because quite frankly, I just want to get to the good stuff between the couple (heh), but I LOVE all the discussion about the tenebris and how magic is a source of power and betrayal in the Western Lands. And of course I love Malloron and Amara’s relationship and its development: it lost none of its heat, and in fact there was more because of Malloron’s acceptance of who Amara is to him. And Kardos... can’t wair to hear his story! I KNOW he has a connection to Drocco. And we learn more about Malloron and why he has evolved into the ruthless alpha king and as a result you feel so much more for him and root even more for him to finally see the light! I don’t want to spoil it but this is a must (scorching emotional rollercoaster) read!!! (I received an advanced reader copy to review.)
