Autoren-Profil

Dr Christopher Lavers is a Senior Lecturer in Engineering, currently with the University of Lincoln at Britannia Royal Naval College. He has taught various maritime and earth observation topics at Britannia since 1993. He has published over 200 articles on technical subjects, 30 science-art exhibitions since 1988, as well as numerous books. Chris is subject matter expert (Radar and Telecommunications) at Britannia, and he has spoken on Radio 4's flagship science 'Material World', Radio Devon and Plymouth Sound radio. He has been a member of the Institute of Physics Environmental Committee, Convenor of the special interest group in conservation and indigenous communities of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society, as well as editor for SENSED their flagship publication. He has been a Visiting Research Fellow at the Changing Character of Warfare Centre (Strategy, Statecraft Technology) Pembroke College, Oxford twice, most recently in 2024.
