Genetic engineering is a rapidly growing field in the area of biological sciences. The driving forces behind this are the challenges encountered by health sectors, agriculture, the environment, and industry. As such, accurate and comprehensive knowledge about the philosophy, principles and application of genetic engineering is indispensable for students and researchers to harness maximum opportunities from this field of science. This volume gathers together comprehensive information regarding genetic engineering from recent studies, and presents it in a coherent manner. As such, it will be of interest to undergraduate and postgraduate students and researchers working in the biological sciences.

ስለደራሲው

Dr Siddra Ijaz is Assistant Professor in the Centre of Agricultural Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. She is a molecular biologist who works with both plants and fungi, and has been engaged as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California Davis, USA. She is the author of the book Molecular Basis of Life, as well as various articles in a number of national and international journals.

Dr Imran ul Haq is Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is a fungal molecular biologist and taxonomist, and has been engaged as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California Davis, USA. He currently runs research projects funded by national and international funding agencies, and has authored several national and international publications.
