Thayne brings this small town to life in a big way with her latest Haven Point novel. The novel is simultaneously emotional, comical, and romantic, leaving you with a feeling of redemption. My heart may have been on my sleeve throughout, but that didn’t stop me from laughing at the characters’ antics. The story itself is intricately and realistically crafted, providing an endlessly enjoyable tale for readers. Thayne brings her characters’ pasts and present together in a way that creates an intimate yet shocking story for those who enjoy romance with a little bit more. Her seamless writing allows you to flow through this story and enjoy it. The main characters are such phenomenal individuals, so well developed and approachable, that you can’t help but love them. At the same time, it is their thoughts and decisions that propel this story into the realm of loveable. Vividly picturesque descriptions bring this novel to life as Thayne's fantastic characters share their intimate tale with readers the world over. This is a fantastic tale that can be easily enjoyed by those who love the series and those who are looking to experience Thayne's work for the first time.

Once again RaeAnne Thayne has brought us a wonderfully heartwarming story from Haven Point. Andie Montgomery and her two small children immediately stole my heart and they were the perfect little family to help thaw the heart of the stoic and gruff Sheriff Marshall Bailey. Helping Marshall while he heals from a recent injury would try the patience of a saint but Andie won't let her friend and Marshall's sister down. Marshall hates to rely on anyone for help but he is drawn in by Andie's calm and caring demeanor as well as her incredible children. The pairing of these two was perfect and in addition to the wonderful romance slowly developing between Marshall and Andie we get the mystery of what is going on inside Marshall's department as well as who could possibly be stalking Andie. This one has it all and it's one you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it.

I'm still basking in the glow of this book. The characters are still having conversations in my brain! That means it was a fantastic book because the people stay with you for awhile! I really think Haven Point is a real place and I want to drive to Idaho and visit! We met Andie Montgomery & her children in RaeAnne's previous book so I was anxious to read her story. I knew she would be a strong character but somewhat subdued because of all that had happened to her. If you haven't read the previous book (Wyn's story), it would be helpful to understand Andie's history but RaeAnne goes into her backstory so you could catch up. Andie and her sweet children are wonderful and I loved getting to know them better. They have been through so much and I wanted them to find a wonderful happy ever after! Who knew it would be a grumpy, workaholic sheriff named Marshall?! But, it just goes to show you that one person can make a huge difference in someone's life. Marshall was a workaholic sheriff and not all that friendly so when he gets injured in a hit & run accident, there is no one to take care of him. His "smothering" family is all out of town so his sister, Wyn, asks Andie, who lives on the same street as Marshall, if she will just check on him and maybe take him a few meals. Andie reluctantly agrees because she owes Wyn a great deal but Marshall has always made her nervous. Marshall doesn't want any help and doesn't like people coming into his home "helping" him. Both of them are quite a pair. I LOVED to see how they both helped each other strengthen their weaknesses! And Andie's kids were totally adorable! The ending was so heartwarming that it ranks as one of my all-time favorites! I wish it would have been a few pages longer! You have to read this book! A treasure for the holidays, for certain!
