It requires a fundamental review by every teacher of their own performance and its effect on learners. A significant way of achieving this is by reflection on performance which can best be supplied by systematic classroom observation and feedback from professional colleagues. It also illustrates how to use focused appraisal sessions and to deliver the feedback interview.
