InDesign is a publishing tool, NOT a "text editor". Computer operating systems have their own built-in text editors, so why would Adobe spend all that time and money on a complete, independent piece of software and charge an arm and a leg for it just to compete with something comparable to a free app? That's right, they wouldn't. That being said, what InDesign DOES do with text, it does quite well. For someone to say otherwise only proves they know nothing about text editing OR Adobe InDesign.

Indesign is one of these least functionable text editors in existence. It is comparable to literal tech trash. It is the MS paint of the text world.
