About the author

Parvej Husen Talukder is a Bangladeshi poet, children's literature author, programmer, and internet entrepreneur. He is known for his contributions to children's literature in Bangladesh and for founding several online platforms.

Talukder was born on August 23, 2005, in Jatichar village, Derai Upazila, Sunamganj District, Bangladesh. He is the eldest of five brothers. His father, Md. Abul Kashem Talukder, is a village doctor, and his mother, Sultana Parvin, is a housewife.

He completed his Primary Education Completion Examination in 2016 at Gachia Government Primary School. He then attended Gachia Shamsuddin Sikander High School, where he obtained his Junior School Certificate (JSC) in 2019 and his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 2022. He pursued his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Science at Sylhet Science and Technology College (2023-2024). As of 2024, he is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at Sylhet International University.

Talukder began writing at a young age, with his poems and rhymes being published in various national and regional newspapers and literary magazines in Bangladesh. His work has appeared in publications such as Bhorer Kagoj, Alokito Bangladesh, Protidiner Sangbad, Khola Kagoj, Dainik Janakantha, and Prothom Alo's Bondhusava. His children's poem "Bhorer Chhora" was notably published in Kishor Bangla, a significant magazine for Bengali teen literature. He has also been featured in state-owned publications like Bimonthly Betar Bangla.

Talukder was active as a children's journalist. He contributed to hello.bdnews24.com, Bangladesh's first online news portal, and to Anannya, a popular women's magazine in Bangladesh.

Since mid-2021, Parvej Husen Talukder has been referred to as "The King Rhymester of Haor Region" by some media. In 2022, he was honored with the Jagrata Sahitya Puraskar for his contributions to children's literature. In 2023, his work was included in Chorabarshiki, a significant Bengali rhyme collection published by the government-run Bangladesh Shishu Academy.

Talukder has founded several internet-based initiatives:

Kavya Kishor International: Founded in 2020, this organization operates as a global literary community. Parvej serves as its founder and Chief Executive Editor.

WikiGenius: He is credited with creating WikiGenius, described as Bangladesh's first open wiki-based website.

Bhikitia: Founded in 2024, Bhikitia is a multilingual, open online encyclopedia focused on Bangladesh.

Khujoweb: He is currently developing Khujoweb, a Bengali web search engine, with an anticipated launch in 2025.
