About the author

Dr. Pardeep Singh is presently working as an Assistant professor (Department of Environmental Studies, PGDAV College University of Delhi, New Delhi, India). He has obtained his master’s degree from the Department of Environmental Science at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi India and his doctorate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi. He has published more than 75 research articles in international journals in the field of Environmental management and edited more than 45 books.

Dr. Prateek Srivastava currently holds the position of Senior Operations Manager for Nature-based Solutions at Amrut Nature Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Indore in India. He earned his PhD from the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, India, with a focus on Forest Ecology and Environment. Dr. Srivastava has an impressive portfolio of published work, including numerous research papers and book chapters in renowned academic journals. His expertise is further strengthened by several years of global experience in sustainability, where he has contributed to various environmental and conservation initiatives across different regions in Africa, South and South-east Asia. He is serving as the editor of this book in his personal capacity.

Dr. Alexander Sorokin is presently working as a Dean of St. Petersburg School of Social Sciences HSE-University. He has obtained his professional degrees in history and anthropology and doctorate degree in history of science and technology from the Tomsk State University. He has published over 100 research articles in international journals in the field of history of science, sociology of science and education and environmental anthropology. Head of over 30 scientific grants and projects, as well as international programs. Organizer of expeditions on the territory of the Russian Federation (Altai highlands, Tashtagol district of Kuzbass, Norilsk industrial region) on socio-climatic and socio-ecological issues, as well as an expedition to the Indian Himalayas (May 2024) on the climatic, environmental and economic sustainability of local communities.
