About this eBook

An obsession so strong it can destroy

Reeling from Shaya’s actions, Kardos faces his new circumstances with a smoldering rage.

Desperate to regain control, his obsession consumes him until it almost destroys everything he’s worked for.

Struggling to find her inner strength, Shaya finds herself trapped in a harsh new existence in the Southern Lands. But her alpha, already a wild beast, has become even more ferocious and unpredictable.

Caught in Kardos' relentless grip, Shaya revels the depths of his insatiable longing. But she soon realizes that her very survival might depend on finding a way to break free.

BEWARE: Do not start this story if you don’t love a Game of Thrones-esque tribal romance featuring a dark warrior who becomes obsessed with his sweet captive! See author website for full warnings.

The more I read of Shaya and Kardos' story, the more I fall in love with each of them. We're starting to see Shaya's inner strength, which is immense. Shaya makes a very impulsive decision to take back the power she feels she's lost. But as she learns to live with the fall out out of choosing Kardos, she is starting to understand more about herself. Kardos is changing in different ways. He's always been strong, but at times he's starting to learn to bend. There's flashes of something more than the iron fist and determination he shows the world. I've loved watching each of these characters go and develop. Their story is so different than the previous tales. I can't wait to see how their story ends.

This is the second book in Shaya and Kardos' story arc. You need to read Own To Obey first or you will not get the start of their story. As things continue to unfold in this romance, you are left on edge as Shaya struggles with her situation and Kardo's continues to be blinded by his quest to rule. This is a dark read, so it is not for everyone. So if in doubt, I recommend you give the book a pass. It is easy to get caught up in these characters and their story. Things are complicated, complex and often painful. Does end in a cliffhanger inpreperation of the next book.

Great story and details. Strong character development and back story. Yeah I love the smutty bits but honestly great read even without those. Shaya is by far the best Omega in this series. Smart, strong, and stubborn and honestly she should probably be the "Alpha" since she literally dominates everything thrown at her. Kardos seems to be completely oblivious to common sense even when it's practically spelled out to him by his own dam father.
