Acerca de este libro electrónico

The impending marriage of a Groundbreather and a Skychild is set to usher in a new era of peace and prosperity, yet there are factions on both sides that vehemently oppose such a union. While in the midst of planning their nuptials, Skye and Tierra find out just how determined these factions are. Tierra is snatched away from her home, and Skye desperately follows, gathering unlikely allies along the way and learning that trust should not be loosely given.

While Skye treks across the land, seeking Tierra as well as answers to the multitude of questions that plague him, Tierra finds herself among a people she never knew existed . . . and caught up in politics that involve the very god she worships. The world Tierra thought she knew grows more complicated as she realizes that being apart from Skye is not the only trial she faces.

Worse yet is the revelation that the Fenik is not the only threat to the world. And the distance that the gods have maintained from their peoples appears to be growing shorter by the day.

Acerca del autor

Jann Rowland is a Canadian, born and bred. Other than a two-year span in which he lived in Japan, he has been a resident of the Great White North his entire life, though he professes to still hate the winters.

Though Jann did not start writing until his mid-twenties, writing has grown from a hobby to an all-consuming passion. His interests as a child were almost exclusively centered on the exotic fantasy worlds of Tolkien and Eddings, among a host of others. As an adult, his interests have grown to include historical fiction and romance, with a particular focus on the works of Jane Austen.

When Jann is not writing, he enjoys rooting for his favorite sports teams. He is also a master musician (in his own mind) who enjoys playing piano and singing as well as moonlighting as the choir director in his church's congregation.

Jann lives in Alberta with his wife of more than twenty years, two grown sons, and one young daughter. He is convinced that whatever hair he has left will be entirely gone by the time his little girl hits her teenage years. Sadly, though he has told his daughter repeatedly that she is not allowed to grow up, she continues to ignore him.

Lelia Eye has lived in Arkansas all her life. While she enjoys reading and watching movies, she refuses to subject herself to any books or movies with unhappy endings. She has a quirky sense of humor and an irrepressible tendency to play devil's advocate.

Lelia has been interested in writing since she won a short story contest in the sixth grade. Her imagination has been active far longer than that, as her childhood was filled with stories built around such villains as dog-catchers and pirate ponies.

Her interest in Jane Austen was sparked when she took a Jane Austen class in college. Her interests span far beyond Jane Austen, however, and encompass the realms of fairy tale, fantasy, and the supernatural.

She lives with her husband of ten years and her daughter, a precocious young girl whose occasionally elaborate stories are a blend of truth and fiction. But Lelia believes stories are meant to make one smile, and it is difficult not to chuckle when a five-year-old exclaims in the middle of a story about a field trip, "And the teacher got an ice stick and fought off the polar bears so I could swim in the polar bear pool!" The heart of a child will forever beat within Lelia's chest, and she is perfectly fine with that.
