This journal provides detail insight into the journey of a tribal prince, captured and sold into slavery and through perseverance, faith and acumen secured resources to purchase his own freedom. The writers style makes you feel like you are right beside him through his experience. The story puts the flesh on the bones of the historical skeleton. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in human rights, slavery issues and prejudice as well as human interest for self achievement.
