This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Numerical Methods and Applications, NMA 2002, held in Borovets, Bulgaria, in August 2002. The 58 revised full papers presented together with 6 invited papers were carefully selected from numerous submissions during two rounds of reviewing and improvement.
