About this eBook

The guilty will atone in blood...

As a vigilante targets predators in Detective September Rafferty’s Oregon town, another killer begins a deadly hunt in New York Times bestselling author Nancy Bush’s gripping, gritty romantic thriller for readers of Laura Griffin, Karen Rose and Allison Brennan.

She senses their twisted desires before she meets them. It’s as if fate is helping her stop these monsters from preying on others the way she was preyed upon. And after she has delivered brutal justice, she’ll let the whole world see their guilt.

“I must pay for what I’ve done.” The first victim—naked, bound, frozen to death—wore the note strung around his neck. Now there’s another note—this one attached to Detective September Rafferty’s own stepbrother. Stefan survives, but September is sure he knows more than he’s saying. Someone is eliminating suspected sexual predators. And the only thing more dangerous than a madman is a killer who’s ruthlessly sane.

Racing to predict the next target, September finds herself drawn into a harrowing and deeply personal case. For this time, there are no innocents—only the one who kills, and those condemned to die . . .

I read this one first and then found out that it was a series. This one is definitely my favorite of this series by Nancy Bush. I just absolutely love the "murderer" that September Rafferty is chasing after. She is so interesting and motivated to bring shame to these perverts. I love her character. But like with so many other Nancy Bush and Lisa Jackson books they create these intriguing characters and story lines in their books and series but then just abandon them and end a really wonderful story on a total cliffhanger that never gets resolved, because I guess the readers are supposed to forget about these characters and what happened to them in previous books so they can move on to the next. It's extremely disappointing, and I am a die hard fan of both Nancy Bush and Lisa Jackson!
