About the author

Nola Heidbreder has been teaching fiber art and handwork for 18 years from her studio in St. Louis, Missouri, and across the country. She has written articles and projects for Mary Englebreit's Home Companion and Rug Hooking magazine, as well as several books (including Finishing Hooked Rugs), and has appeared on local and national television news programs.

Linda Pietz learned to knit at the age of four and has spent the last 40+ years passing on her love of knitting and other crafts to others through classes and workshops. She designs patterns for Bucilla, Dimensions, Cat's Cradle, and other companies, has been featured in several books, including Gourds + Fiber, and has written articles for Rug Hooking magazine and other national magazines. She lives in northern California.
