Weighing in at only 168 pages, it would seem the author is hard pressed for content. Shredder is a quick and messy end to the events of the previous books climax. The new big bad is given little for character and the return of McGovern adds little to what we already knew. A few twists worth reading for and a limp final confrontation before the high tragedy at the end made Shredder worth reading but not worth remembering. Still, however, one of my favourite books series for the moment.
