Since 2005, Murder & Mayhem in Muskego has welcomed and hosted over 150 authors a thousands of fans of crime fiction to the Milwaukee area. Just in time for the 8th annual benefit, a short story anthology featuring bestselling, Edgar and Shamus award-winning writers who have attended the day-long convention has been created. The collection is edited by Jon and Ruth Jordan.

 

Contributors include: Megan Abbott, Dana Cameron, Reed Farrel Coleman, Hilary Davidson, Sean Doolittle, J.M. Edwards, Andrew Grant, Ted Hertel, Jr., Chris F. Holm, Brad Parks, Gary Phillips, Kat Richardson, Greg Rucka, Marcus Sakey, Tom Schreck and Nathan Banks, Zoë Sharp, Bryan VanMeter and Jeri Westerson.

 

All profits from sales of this anthology will benefit the Murder & Mayhem in Milwaukee crime festival.

O autorze

Megan Abbott is an award wining author. She was born in the Detroit area and graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in English Literature. Abbott went on to receive a Ph.D. in English and American Literature from New York University. Abbott's stories have appeared in Damn Near Dead: An Anthology of Geezer Noir (2006), Wall Street Noir (2007), Detroit Noir (2007), Storyglossia and Queens Noir (2007). Her nonfiction book, The Street Was Mine: White Masculinity in Hardboiled Fiction and Film Noir, was published in 2003. She is also the editor of the Edgar-nominated A Hell of a Woman: An Anthology of Female Noir. Megan is also the Edgar-winning author of the novels Die a Little, The Song Is You, Queenpin and Bury Me Deep. She won the Barry Award (Deadly Pleasures and Mystery News award) and has been nominated three times for the Anthony Award (Bouchercon World Mystery Convention award). Her novel, The End of Everything, cames out in 2011. She also won an International Thriller Award 2015 for her title The Fever. Reed Farrel Coleman is the author of Robert B. Parker's Jesse Stone series, the Moe Prager series, short stories, and poetry. He is a three-time Edgar Award nominee in three different categories - Best Novel, Best Paperback Original, Best Short Story - and a three-time recipient of the Shamus Award for Best Detective Novel of the Year. He has also won the Audie, Macavity, Barry, and Anthony Awards. He is an adjunct instructor of English at Hofstra University and a founding member of MWA University. Reed's novels are perennial bestsellers featured on the New York Times, USA Today and other bestseller lists. Kat Richardson received a degree in magazine journalism from California State University, Long Beach. Before becoming a fiction author, she worked as a writer and editor in the computer industry and as a course writer for the Gemological Institute of America. She is best known for the Greywalker series. Greg Rucka is the author of four previous novels - "Keeper", which was nominated for the Shamus Award, "Finder", "Smoker", and "Shooting at Midnight". He resides with his wife and son in Portland, Oregon.
