Highly enjoyable read! Daruka has been avoiding her father. Things have escalating so she took her mother's advice and headed off to Blackthorn Academy! Coming to Blackthorn was to avoid demons but it seems that fate has others plans. First time reading a story from this author. The storyline was amazing that I couldn't put it down. I absolutely love this series, being able to get different perspectives from multiple authors. Highly recommend!!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Love it! You wouldn’t know it was part of a series! The scenes. The character interactions and the drama - superb. Daruka Montreau is running from her father and seeking sanctuary at The Blackthorn Academy just causes her to find her mate - comically it is a lust demon elf Asmoday. The character pains and growth are interesting and the sexy scenes are hot. I love reading Daruka’s thoughts when it comes to Asmoday. Definitely age 17+ reading. It does have a HEA and ends on a light note.

It must be something of a shock and then a novelty when things don't go as you expect. Asmoday has come to accept that everyone wants him. He is so used to being wanted that when someone comes along who bearly even gives him a glance there is nothing for it but to chase her. For him to suddenly want her. Daruka is basically hiding in plain sight. She is trying to escape the inevitable only it is not what she thinks it is. This series is just brilliant and this is another gem in its possession.
