In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 1 through 4 of The Exercise and Practice of the God-ordained Way, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989. These chapters cover a thorough view of the God-ordained way (the basic principles), the exercise and practice of the gospel preaching in the God-ordained way, definite steps needed for practicing the New Testament priesthood of the gospel, and points for fulfilling the priesthood of the gospel.The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 3 through 6 of Fellowshipping with the Lord for the Mingling of God with Man, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1961–1962. These chapters speak on fellowship and the mingling of God with man, learning to fellowship, the difference between the spirit and the soul, and death and resurrection and the salvation of the soul.The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 51 through 54 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters cover how to know the genuine leading by the Spirit, a daily living under the leading by the Spirit, the leading of the Spirit being for living, not for doing, and the genuine and proper living of the sons of God.The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 3 through 6 of The Issue of the Dispensing of the Processed Trinity and the Transmitting of the Transcending Christ, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1993. These chapters cover the issue of God the Spirit's dispensing speaking forth the application of God's accomplished purpose, the issue of the transmitting of the transcending Christ, the church, and the Body of Christ.

Born in 1905 in northern China, Witness Lee was raised in a Christian family and educated in English-speaking schools. At the age of 19 he believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and consecrated himself to preach the gospel. Early in his service, Witness Lee met Watchman Nee and began to labor together with him. In 1949 Witness Lee was sent by Watchman Nee to Taiwan to ensure that the things delivered to them by the Lord would be preserved. In 1962 Witness Lee came to the United States and began to minister here. He ministered in weekly conferences, delivering several thousand spoken messages until 1997. He gave his last public conference in February 1997 at the age of 91. His major work, Life-Study of the Bible, comprises over 25,000 pages of commentary on every book of the Bible from the perspective of the believers' enjoyment and experience of God's divine life in Christ through the Spirit.
