Achievement of Millennium Development Goals is a priority for every nation, and the contribution of every nation accounts for making the world more prosperous. This book analyzes the status and proximity to the achievement of Millennium Development Goals in India. The present compilation of research paper focus on issues of Health, Poverty, Employment issues, Provision of safe drinking water, Education, food security, women empowerment and sustainable development. The papers present the Indian journey, the different perspective of the efforts, and analyze the various initiatives that India has undertaken in the process of attaining the MDGs.

ስለደራሲው

Dr RK Mishra, senior professor and director, Institute of Public Enterprise, is a graduate of International Management Programme, SDA Bocconi, Milan, Italy and has been a Fellow of British Council and Commonwealth Secretariat. He is a member of the UN Task Forces on International Taskforce on Standards of Excellence in Public Administration and Education and associated with the UNDP project on Maco Economics of Poverty Reduction carried out by RBI Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Banking and Research.

Dr Jayasree Raveendran holds a doctorate in the field of Behavioral Finance from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, She serves as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Public Enterprise. Keenly interested in interdisciplinary research, she has published papers in refereed journals and has presented research papers at International Conferences. She is involved in teaching, research activities, research training and consultancy assignments at the Institute.
