Jasper Maskelyne (1902-73) was a third-generation performer in a family of British stage magicians. Best remembered for his WWII work for military intelligence, Maskelyne and his Magic Gang of technicians created a series of large-scale ruses that misdirected German bombers and camouflaged Allied operations.
