WARLOCKS OF THE BLACK OAK: Boxset #2 contains Books four, five, and six. The Warlocks of The Black Oak are back with more intense supernatural action, hot romance, paranormal drama, suspenseful challenges, and obstacles to battle through as only these too hot to be real warlocks can bring. Each story focuses on a different Warlock but includes others from the series and introduces some new characters. The Morgan Warlocks are descendants of one of the Three, Lucias Stanley Morgan. His power was great, and his legacy to his descendants is downright over the top in the supernatural realm. This is clearly seen in each book in this boxset. Note that his ancestor's legacy and the other original Warlocks of the Black Oak, Stanley, and Clarke have been and will be featured in other books. Book four, An Archmage's Destiny, is a suspenseful love story wrought with intense supernatural action and a couple of twists that compel you to read on. The storyline is engaging and entertaining. The characters keep you reading as they pull you into their story. They are unique yet believable. The female protagonist is strong, resilient, smart, gorgeous, and compassionate. Bryce Jackson is a new attorney in the firm that the elder warlock, Edwin Morgan, uses to handle both his human world business affairs and those more otherworldly. She believes her first assignment on behalf of the elder Morgan is quick and easy. Nothing is quick or easy when it comes to dealing with supernatural beings. She is soon fighting for her life and love. Along with his twin brother Duke, Knightley Theodore Morgan, better known as Knight, is an heir to the Morgan family legacy. He chooses, though, to fight evil, keeping the streets of Seattle safe from things that truly do go bump in the night. Meeting Bryce brings out a different type of protector in him. He has to fight an evil that will destroy the woman he has come to love, but first, he has to get his magic back. His friend Malcolm, the Necromancer, is by his side fighting evil and creeping folks out, but you still know he is a good guy. We find out a little more about Mal in this story, just enough to set us up for the book that will focus on him. In Book Five, A Spellbinder's Denial, Duke Leopold Morgan must overcome his guilt to save the woman he has loved, Sloane Davenport, since they were teens. An accident changed their lives forever, but Sloane chooses to move on, while Duke spends the next twelve years trying to work through his guilt via good deeds. When a nest of vampires targets Sloane and her daughter Elsa, Duke has to gain his ancestors' forgiveness so that he can protect them. With intense suspense, heated romance, surprises, twists, and tons of intense supernatural, paranormal action, this book is another page-turner in the series. The characters are ones that you already know and love from previous books. With the addition of Sloane and her aunties, who are banshees, the characters draw you into the storyline, which is very engaging and intriguing. A Necromancer's Love is the final book in the series, and I am so glad that we finally see another side of Malcolm. As a necromancer, he is often depicted as intense and creepy. He is all dark and brooding, but with underlying compassion, we do not get to see as clearly as you do in this book. However, Harper Grant brings out another side of him as she enlists his help in rescuing her brother Evan. This is a love story like no other as the Necromancer Malcolm's darkness becomes enthralled with the light of a human woman who takes loyalty to a level of obsession. We get to meet King Akla and Queen Flora, Malcolm's birth parents and learn the truth behind why they abandoned him as a child. The storyline in this one has many supernatural beings, and we are introduced to Valerian St Amand, a legacy vampire. As with the other books in the boxset, the characters keep you engaged. The drama, flourishing romance, twists, betrayal, and magic make the story one that grabs you from the first page to the last. Booksprout gave me a free copy of this book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. An Archmage's Destiny: When Knightley refuses to return home, his magic is taken by Bryce. When Bryce is in deadly danger, Knightley finally contacts his father for help in returning his magic so he can save Bryce. Knightley succeeds and finds love with Bryce. The evil ones in this book are scary. A Spellbinder's Denial: To save Elsa, Duke and Sloane pay the price of their legacy. Duke had injured Sloane as teenagers and as penance had given up practicing magic. Sloane had never blamed him. Duke paid a physical price to reconnect with his magic and Sloane embraced her banshee fully. Duke and Sloane finally allow the love they resisted and have a family with Elsa. A Necromancer's Love: Harper is the light to Malcolm's darkness. They meet when Harper is searching for her brother Evan. Evan betrays Harper and turns her. To save her, Malcolm takes her to the Daemon Realm and accepts his duty to rule when it is time. Harper is made daemon so she can still have the light. Harper and Malcolm are bonded but neither minds as they love each other.
