Marcus Llanque und Katja Sarkowsky führen dies auf eine spezifische Konfliktstruktur zurück, die sie mit dem Begriff des »antigonistischen Konflikts« fassen. Marcus Llanque ist Lehrstuhlinhaber für Politische Theorie an der Universität Augsburg. Zu seinen Forschungsschwerpunkten gehören die Politische Ideengeschichte, Demokratietheorie und die Politische Theorie des Republikanismus.
Katja Sarkowsky ist Lehrstuhlinhaberin für Amerikanistik an der Universität Augsburg. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der amerikanischen und kanadischen Gegenwartsliteratur, den Indigenous Studies und der Autobiographieforschung.
