Beim Manuel UNIMARC handelt es sich um die französische Übersetzung der zweiten Ausgabe von UNIMARC Manual: bibliographic format, 1994 erstmals in englischer Sprache veröffentlicht und zwischen 1996 und 2005 vervollständigt durch fünf weitere Aktualisierungen. Diese fünfte französischsprachige Ausgabe ist eine Zusammensetzung: Sie ist zunächst ein Neudruck eines Teils der vierten Ausgabe aus 2002 und bietet darüber hinaus, entsprechend der in Ausgabe 5 modifizierten Bereiche des Formats, eine neue, strukturiertere Darstellung. Das Handbuch wendet sich an französischsprachige Benutzer des UNIMARC Formats für den Austausch bibliographischer Daten.
