schools. Their safety during this time is exceedingly important. Safety of students and staff
in school are the prime concern for the School Managements. As I have been associated with
School Administration since long, hence idea came up and I compiled this book ‘Safety &
Security in Schools’ for the School owners and its leaders.
In this book, I have tried to collect all possible measures which schools should adopt to create
a safe and secure environment for students and staff. This books is useful for the School
Management, Principals, Vice Principals, Administrators, Safety Officer, Supervisors ,
teachers and even Parents so that they can ensure safety and security of students during
school time and while in transit to school and back home.

About the author
Manoj Kumar, M.A. (Economics), M.B.A. (Human Resource Management) also has completed various certificate courses in School Safety, Child Safety and Career Counselling. The author has been associated with School administration for the last 17 years. During his tenure in School Administration, he has closely worked upon General Administration, Accounts and Finance, CBSE Affiliation, State Govt recognition, NOCs and Liasioning, HR and Administration, Facilities Management, Stores and Procurement, Transport Management, Estate Management, Cafeteria Management, Security Management, ISO Certification, HR Practices and Policies, SOPs and Manuals and Disaster management. Presently, Manoj is a Senior Administrator in a School as well as an Author and lifelong learner. As an Administrator, the author has witnessed safety and security issues in schools. Hence, had an idea to write a book on Safety and Security in Schools to create awareness among School Management, Heads, Administrators, Officers, Supervisors, Teachers and Parents.
