About this ebook

Druid Series, #2

Fated Mates. Immortal Druids. A Goddess on the Run. Deadly Secrets.

Sacred. Worshiped. Hunted.

Seven-hundred-year-old immortal druid sorcerer Korey O’Caha has one goal: keep the darkness at bay and protect the witches under his charge. Love? It’s never been in the cards. That is, until Gigi storms into his world, turning his carefully controlled existence into chaos. She’s powerful, untamed, and completely off-limits—but fate has other plans. Now, resisting her isn’t just impossible, it’s damn near suicidal.

Daughter of a god and a divine force of nature, Gigi once risked everything to protect druid children from slaughter. She paid the price—imprisoned in a place where time stood still. Seven hundred years later, she’s free and determined to stay hidden. But when her path collides with Korey’s, she can’t ignore the sizzling attraction, the primal pull, or the danger lurking in the shadows.

Now, as an ancient evil rises, Korey and Gigi must fight side by side. Their magic is entwined, their pasts connected, and their passion? Explosive. But Gigi’s deadly secret threatens not only their love but Korey’s very existence.

Destined Love. Reluctant Mates. A Battle for Survival. Can she trust a man who embodies everything she fears? Or will their passion burn brighter than the forces trying to tear them apart?

I would've given it a better rating had it not been for the written Scottish. It made it harder to read along fluidly and stopped me from fully loose myself in the story. All the things are there, the magic, romance, terror. The attempted sex scenes feels sterile and lacking the build up of sensual details. Making it read more like the act of a randy teenage boy, racing to get off instead of the skilled tuning of a several hundred years old warrior worshipping the love of his life and long awaited mate.

About the author

NY Times & USA TODAY Bestselling Author of the Daughter of the Tempting Fate Series and the Immortal Ops Series!

Mandy M. Roth grew up fascinated by creatures that go bump in the night. From the very beginning, she showed signs of creativity--writing, painting, telling scary stories that left her little brother afraid to come out from under his bed. Combining her creativity with her passion for the paranormal has left her banging on the keyboard into the wee hours of the night.

She's a self-proclaimed Goonie, loves 80s music and movies and wishes leg warmers would come back into fashion. She also thinks the movie The Breakfast Club should be mandatory viewing for... okay, everyone. When she's not dancing around her office to the sounds of the 80s or writing books she can be found designing book covers for NY publishers, small press and indie authors.
