Another Courtesan in Love I so enjoy the naughty Regency romances by Victoria Vale, and this one is no exception. I absolutely adore the concept of this series of a gentleman courtesans. I will admit I was at first a little surprised by the unrepentant rake she has as a hero. With his dirty thoughts and smutty language, he shocked both me and the heroine! But his time spent with a truly good woman changes him, and it is fun to watch him change. You can't help but empathize with the heroine, who must live in English society even though she is shunned because of her mixed race, half eastern Indian and half English blueblood. The gentlemen in England either ignore her or make scandalous propositions one after the other, seeing her only as a potential mistress, not as a potential wife. She doesn't hire the courtesan for sex, which is of course what he thinks it's all about. Rather, she wants him to act as her escort as she is hoping to spark the interest of a man she likes by making him jealous. As always with Ms. Vale’s work, this is a steamy, sassy read, but she always manages to make the steam aspect wholly fit the characters; the love scenes could be for no other than this couple. Not enough authors do this. While this book could be read as a standalone, you would certainly benefit from reading the series from the beginning, including the prequel, as it will add a few layers of richness to your enjoyment of this story. If you enjoy character-driven steamy Regency romance, you may very well enjoy this book. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

The gambler and male courtesan meets the perfect lady. I so love getting a chance to read a tale by Ms. Vale they are always excellent and entertaining and come on is not the cover just hotter than hell. Selling his services Mr. Dominick Burke has a Miss Calliope Barrington request his services and so the romp beginnings. Then do not turn out as expected because our lad is caught up in a trap of his making. Here is the question is causing a scandal the answer. Twists, turns, and sexy hot scenes you have the making of a fun piece. Ms. Vale delivered on this cutie I so hope you check it out it is worth reading. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is quite an unusual series. A few gentlemen form a club of sorts. They offer their sexual services on monetary basis, in other words male courtesans. This is 4th book in the series but can be read as stand alone. It would be better to read in order though because few characters are common .This book follows the story of Dominick or Nick and calliope, a mixed raced lady. Here is a twist, the said lady doesn't want to lose her virginity or don't want to engage in ant kind of sexual intimacy rather wants to use Nick to get a decent marriage proposal from a gentleman. nick falls in love with her quite fast. Calliope resists a lot. How they get their happy beginning forms the rest of the story. I liked the unusual premise of the series. NICK was quite likeable.
