About the author
JoAnn DePolo is an acrylic painter, Matser Teaching Artist with Young Audiences ArtWorks,and a contributing artists for ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition. JoAnn has held administrative positions with several arts organizations directing multidiscplinary arts programs, arts camps and community murals. She is registered with the Ohio Arts Council, is a member of the Women Speakers Registry and presently serves on the board of directors as Secretary for the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve at University Circle in Cleveland Ohio. Widely regarded as a visionary, JoAnn's audience extends from her hometown to the national and international amid several celebrities with DePolo originals. Her work is included in the George Streeter Circulating Collection to benefit the Art Therapy program in Cleveland. DePolo's achievements continue to receive media attention appearing often in news publications and on FOX8 Morning News painting numerous times live at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. JoAnn recently participated in creating a mural for Extreme Makeover Home Edition in Clarksville TN which aired December 6, 2009 on ABC.
