A magical story for teens and young adults. Amelina is attracted to Ryder, but should she be wary? The elusive crystal cottage is intriguing, but is it a good or a bad influence? Is Amelina the girl she thinks she is, or something more special? What are the mysterious dangers around her? As the book begins, these questions tumble in the reader’s mind. Amelina conveys life as a teenager well; with all the confusion and partial understanding, the sense of feeling grown up, yet still needing childhood comforts. Gradually, the answers are revealed as the imaginative and intricate tale unfolds of friendship, betrayal and mystery. An interesting read, with the promise of more to come.
