This is the first book by Lynette Eason that I have read. I’ve owned her books for a few years, and I am so glad I finally read them. Eason is a very talented author. This book has just the right amount of suspense, mystery, and romance. The serial killer aspect gave me Bones vibes. This book has strong Christian themes. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I like the audiobook narrator. Content Warnings: -Serial killers -Kidnapping -Death -Kisses only -No language

This is a pulse-racing, breath-holding suspense thriller with two strong protagonists. Penny Carlton is a helicopter pilot and EMT who has a deep attraction to FBI agent Holt Satterfield. Their attraction to each other has to be put on hold when Holt has to capture an escaped serial killer who seems to be targeting him and Penny. There are some twists and some really intense moments in the plot, so it was an absorbing book to read. I really enjoyed that the characters were totally fleshed out, including their family connections and their past mistakes. With a theme of forgiveness and family and hope for the future, this first book in a new series holds the promise for many more hours of mesmerizing entertainment and more than a few pounds of my heart. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys to be engaged in a life or death struggle against a wily foe. I love stories of redemption and several of the characters had experienced that in their younger years. The strong friendships that had been developed among those characters made for a richer story. The two main characters Penny and Holt are likable, and I was happy that they got their HEA. I also enjoyed reading about Penny's interactions with two of the helpful homeowners on the mountain. In fiction, as well as real life, there are good people who help out in bad situations. The action and suspense in Life Flight are almost non-stop. The plot has twists and turns like an icy road up a steep mountain. I enjoyed reading Life Flight. I highly recommend the book as it is up to the quality writing that I've come to expect from Lynette Eason. I received a complimentary copy through NetGalley and am sharing my opinion of this well-written and exciting book.
