Wonderfully written interweaving of AD33 Roman empire history and fiction, with events of the crucifixion of Jesus, and emerging accounts of his being alive. Lloyd Douglas also shows great perception into the emerging relationships with their uncertain trust, and the true roots and nature of faith based on both evidence and change of heart. A unique novel with huge imagination.
