Swami Vivekananda not only awakened Hinduism and India but also envisioned bringing about a spiritually awakened world order. Through his personal letters one gets a glimpse into the mind of this spiritual genius who has left a lasting impact on the thought-currents of the whole world.

This revised and enlarged edition of Letters of Swami Vivekananda in four volumes comprises 815 letters in all.

Volume III: Letters from 1897 to 1899

Volume IV: Letters from 1900 to 1902

The letters are presented here in their original form, meticulously compared word-by-word directly with the originals or the sources stated in the footnotes. They are arranged chronologically, helping readers trace Swami Vivekananda's movements, activities, and the evolution of his ideas over time. This arrangement also provides insights into the early history of the Ramakrishna Movement.

Comprehensive footnotes, charts, and appendices have been included to provide the historical contexts of the letters. Also included are several photographs relevant to the context of the letters.
