This is the 5th book I've read written by Lauri Robinson; I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the 1st book of the Twins of the Twenties Series; it was written based on 1920’s era; while I wasn’t really into the story it was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. Patrick’s a New York cop fulfilling a promise to a friend to find his daughter. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Scandal at the Speakeasy is the first book in the Twins of the Twenties series and is a great start to this new series. This book has a lot of humour and very likable characters in Mick and Lisa. The story is well written and kept my interest from start to finish. This sweet romance was fun to read. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series. This is more sweet than spicy but the way the story is written, you get sucked in to it. The 20s were playing so vividly in my mind throughout this and it made the story all the better.
