I enjoyed this short read. Taweret had fallen out of favor with Ra. Found herself a place that was safe in Nubia. Things were great until the great floods hadn't come. Without the floods there will be famine and death. Sobek has come to ask for Taweret help finding out what is causing the problems with the Nile. With a common goal, working together finding the problem bringing them closer. I enjoyed this short read getting some context into the lives of the different God's. Highly enjoyable read that I recommend!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A disaster is coming! The Nile gods unite when they realize something is wrong with the river. If the floods don't come it will be a disaster. Tawaret and Sobek discover they have more in common than the Nile. This story combines a budding romance and the politics of the gods. This series weaves history and fiction into an interesting plot. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

This is hippo goddess, Taweret, and crocodile god Sobek's story. Taweret is hiding from Ra’s anger over aiding Nut during her delivery. When Sobek finds her with news that the magic of the Nile River is gone, causing the Nile not flooding on time and the water level to dwindle. Taweret and Sobek along with a few others investigate this mystery. She and Sobek try to figure out why and solve the problem, but it’s not what they expected. A tragic event has hurt the magic of the water. This t
