About this ebook

Love enters the chat in this hilarious, heartfelt rom com by New York Times bestselling and Audie award-winning author Kylie Scott.

Romance author Riley Cooper always dreamed of living by the water. But within a day of landing in the charming seaside town of Port Stewart to work on her latest book, she's getting calls and texts for some dude on her new number. Weird ones. Sad ones. Sexy ones. Ones that make her want to meet him. For curiosity's sake...if nothing else.

After years of being on-again, off-again with his high school sweetheart, all Connor wants is to move on with his life. If only everyone in Port Stewart would let him. What he needs is to be seen with someone else. So when fate puts him in the path of the new girl in town who got his old number, faking it together seems like the perfect solution.

Spending time with the gorgeous former prom king might be great research for Riley’s romance writing…if only she can keep her feelings in check. But the more she gets to know him, the harder she’s falling. Can their serendipitous meeting turn into something real and true?

Small town romance done beautifully. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book from Author Kylie Scott and I most certainly did love TEXT APPEAL. Riley Cooper, a romance author, has moved across the continent from Nevada to the small seaside town of Port Stewart to fulfil a goal, and to finish writing her romance novel. She has a new phone and a new number and this is where the story, a comedy of errors, begins. Told from Riley’s POV, Ms Scott has her telling us about the development of the friendship between her and the phone number’s previous owner, Connor. I loved Connor’s character and wondered what it was that had set Connor’s well known previously pleasing disposition into the Grumpy McGrumperson thing that he had going on. Riley had to shoe-horn every scrap of emotional feeling out of him and he was so sketchy he more akin to Fort Knox. If you’re into the small town tropes, a fake relationship between surly and sunny characters then TEXT APPEAL is for you. 4.5-Stars

3.75stars-TEXT APPEAL is the first instalment in Kylie Scott’s contemporary, adult PORT STEWART erotic, romance series. This is romance author Riley Cooper, and mechanic Connor’s story line.TEXT APPEAL is a story of secrets and lies, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is captivating and entertaining; the romance is awkward yet enticing; the characters are desperate and dynamic but Connor’s behavior and lack of excitement regarding our story line heroine is questionable

Loved it. Great way to start with the mix-up between phone numbers and the townsfolk already way too invested in the outcome. I enjoyed how Riley was quick witted and saw Connor for the person who was not who he was presenting to everyone else.
