A potentially valuable introduction to software testing, too many opportunities were missed. E.g.: there are specific industries and situations for each of white, black and grey box testing but only one example was quickly mentioned. Worse, there are mis-statements such as white box testing leaving untested paths in the code (the reason to pay so much more and conduct white box testing is to ensure all paths in life critical code are tested). The use of english is a bit awkward but not far from what is encounterd in todays' multi-cultural workplaces and readers shouldn't have a big problem with the language. The mis-statements and misses are much more of a problem with this book meeting the needs of its' audience.

too much cut and paste without fixing the differences, and obviously not proofread by an English speaker. also assumes that the software development lifecycle model which is the extreme version of the waterfall model is best practice, despite being known not to be the case since the 1970's, ignoring every major development since the birth of agile programming.

It is good book for beginner who don't have any knowledge about testing and interested to learn it. But in my opinion, if the book may contain some extra and expanded content, it makes more understandable and may get more knowledge in it. In my view additional informations like stlc types, testing types, lifecycle can make user experience better.
