Caryl Hart is an award-winning children's author who writes picture books and young fiction. She runs creative literacy workshops for schools, libraries, communities and festivals. The Girl who Planted Trees won Teach Early Years' Best Picture Book Award, 2022 and was chosen as one of the best books of 2022 by the U.K Children's Laureate, Joseph Coelho. Nick East is the illustrator of the bestselling TOTO THE NINJA CAT series, written by Dermot O'Leary. He is also the illustrator of Michelle Robinson's popular GOODNIGHT... series. He worked for many years as a museum designer but has always been a storyteller whether, as a child, filling sketchbooks with quirky characters or, as a designer, displaying a collection of ancient artefacts. Nick is based in York.
