This volume goes through the part that originally attracted me to read the web novel, when first viewing the anime. Makoto's first failure. His encounter with a female traveler. And him having to defend the demiplane. He begins in this book becoming a merchant. Finding the ambrosia flowers. meeting the forest ogre. And then adding Shiki to his group.
