When monsters appear in Los Angeles, Maggie MacKay is on the job. No one is better at hauling the creepy crawlies back where they belong. No one, that is, except her dad, who disappeared without a trace in the middle of an assignment.

But an elf named Killian has shown up with a gig. Seems Maggie's uncle is working with the forces of dark to turn Earth into a vampire convenience store, serving bottomless refills on humans.

The only hope for survival lies in tracking down two magical objects and a secret that vanished with Maggie's father.

Come along with Maggie and Killian for a snarky, sassy urban fantasy adventure in this USA Today bestseller by Kate Danley!

This was such an enjoyable read and I'm kinda surprised that I've never come across this series before. I love bounty hunter/ PI sort of female leads and this one, fits the bill of being a badass leading lady. Having an elf as a sidekick is cool too but what's surprising is how the elves are not featured here as all-powerful, almost invincible creatures ( the sidekick got injured and got out-of-commission in a couple fights). The heroine is a sassy, punny, and competent lady and I'm all over that. I totally recommend this book!

The writing is mediocre at best. Plus they have no idea that words in all caps are yelling. That was driving me crazy. All caps words, but she wasn't yelling . Then at one point, none of the words were capitalized but she was yelling. Also the main female character, Maggie, is super annoying. There was almost zero character development, except for telling you what the main male character, Killian, looks like and that he's a. elf. So glad this was free. It said on the book page the rights to this have been sold for tv and movies. Hopefully they get a better writer. then maybe it would be worth watching.

I've been using this app for a while and it works perfectly. The interface is user-friendly, and the features are really helpful. It runs smoothly without any bugs or crashes. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use app. Keep up the good work!
