I do love visiting Oakside, I get to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. I liked that Jake and Kassi had a history as it gave them a foundation to build on, they had shared memories, shared experiences and now shared feelings. It was nice seeing their relationship grow and to see them address difficult things. I liked them as a couple and loved their service dogs. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jake is working at Oakside, where he comes into contact with Kassi, his younger brother's ex from years ago. Having both experienced war and become a casualty, their experience brings them closer, but Caden and his reaction is a cause of concern, which needs to be considered and her is training for deployment.....Despite have no feelings for her then, or her him, they certainly do now. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Saving Jake is book 9 in the Oakside Military series by Kaci Rose, a prior release in an anthology but has been rereleased. 4.5 stars This is Jake and Kassie’s story of two former childhood friends who meet up again after years in the military. He works at Oakside, a center to help former military personnel heal and find their new normal after leaving the military.
