Kuhusu kitabu pepe hiki

This book is a compilation of many memories regarding the great Marathi humorist, P.K. Atre. He had extensively written in the ‘Navyug’. This book presents selective writings. Along with a few poems and small incidences there are many notes included here. Atre was an editor of newspaper, but, his writing was not limited by it. Rather, he was a versatile litterateur. This book tries to fathom the vastness of various forms of his writing. ‘Navkavinchi Toldhad’, ‘Olava Kavitecha’, ‘Kaviche Pik’, ‘Mirza Galib’, ‘Choranche Sammelan’, etc. are a few of his famous works. This book tells us more about the dramas written by him. These include notes on ‘Naman Natvara’, ‘Marathitil Pahile Bookish Natak’, ‘Marathi Natysammelane va tyanche adhyaksh’, etc.A few articles based on the cine world like ‘Nutanla advile’, ‘Taporya dolyanchi hasari nati-Mala Sinha’, ‘Ga Di Manni Lach Ghetali’, ‘Sandhecha Sinhashi Samna’, Damuanna Malvankar’, etc. are included here.‘Kon sunder? Stree ki Chandra?’, ‘Stri mhanje ramy kavy’, ‘Baykanchi shuddh marathi’, etc. are articles written with women at the centre.Atre was famous for his lectures. A few of the articles included here are based on ‘Pu Lanche Vyakhyan’, ‘Ase Vakte Asha Sabha’, ‘Vaktrutvachya Gamti’, etc. where lecture is the main concept.A few articles are written on famous personalities like Durga Khote, Nath Madhav, Nana Jagannath Shankarsheth, famous Olympic player Milkha Singh and others. As these all are newspaper articles, there is a lot of variety seen. ‘Tapal sansthechi teenshe varsh’, ‘Mumbaitala pahila barf’, ‘Saath salatil Bhrashtachar’, ‘Ambrasat kokani kava’ are a few to name.The poems included here are ‘Shetaniche prempatr’, ‘Kashas kay mhanu naye’, ‘Bhupali Vinakaryachi’, ‘Rabar jinkach’, etc.Shirish Pai had interviewed Lata Mangeshkar under the title ‘Tulshichi manjiri-Lata’. It is included in this book. The mangalashtaka by Sopandev Choudhari, especially for Shirish Pai’s marriage are included herein.Extensive notes on ‘Atre-Phadke vaad’, ‘Atre ani Mate’ are included here. Prof. Krushnaji Pandurang Kulkarni had prepared a list of hundred most impressive Maharashtrians for the 1945 Diwali edition of Navyug. It is included here. This book is thus become a kaleidoscope with the many forms of literature by P. K. Atre.

‘खुमासदार अत्रे’ हे एक प्रसन्न संकलन आहे, म्हटलं तर इतिहासातील काही नोंदी आहेत. अत्र्यांच्या ‘नवयुग’च्या वीस वर्षांतील अंकांमधून वेचलेलं हे साहित्य आहे. या साहित्यातील छोट्या छोट्या टिपणांचा या पुस्तकात समावेश केला आहे. अर्थातच ही टिपणं विविधरंगी आहेत. काही कविता, एखादी सूची इ. बाबी संपूर्णपणेही समाविष्ट केल्या आहेत.

अत्रे हे केवळ वृत्तपत्राचे संपादक नव्हते, तर त्यांच्या अनेक पैलूंपैकी एक अत्यंत सामथ्र्यशाली पैलू होता साहित्याचा. ते अष्टपैलू साहित्यिक होते. या वेचलेल्या साहित्यामध्ये साहित्यविषयक अनेक टिपणं आहेत. जसे ‘नवकवींची टोळधाड,’ ‘ओलावा कवितेचा,’ ‘कवीचे पीक,’ ‘मिर्झा गालिब’, चोरांचे संमेलन’ इ. नाटककार अत्रे हा अत्र्यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वातील आणखी एक प्रभावशाली पैलू. साहजिकच नाटक या विषयावरची अनेक टिपणं या पुस्तकातून वाचायला मिळतात. उदा. ‘नमन नटवरा’, ‘मराठीतील पहिले बुकीश नाटक’, ‘मराठी नाट्यसंमेलने व त्यांचे अध्यक्ष’ इ.

सिनेसृष्टीविषयीची काही टिपणंही यात समाविष्ट आहेत. जसे ‘नूतनला अडविले’, ‘टपोNया डोळ्यांची हसरी नटी - मालासिन्हा’, ‘ग. दि. मांनी लाच घेतली’, ‘संध्येचा सिंहाशी सामना,’ ‘दामुअण्णा मालवणकर.’ इ. ‘कोण सुंदर? स्त्री की चंद्र?’, ‘स्त्री म्हणजे रम्य काव्य’, ‘स्त्री व विनोद’, ‘बायकांची शुद्ध मराठी’ असे स्त्रीविषयक लेख यात आहेत.

अत्र्यांची व्याख्यानं हाही एक वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण विषय. त्यामुळे व्याख्यानांबाबतचे ‘पु. लं.चे व्याख्यान,’ ‘असे वत्तेâ, अशा सभा’, ‘वत्तृâत्वाच्या गमती’ इ. लेख या पुस्तकात आहेत.

काही व्यक्तिविषयक टिपणंही यात आहेत. जसे ‘दुर्गा खोटे’, ‘नाथमाधव’, ‘नाना जगन्नाथ शंकरशेठ’, ‘ऑलिंपिकपटू मिल्खासिंग’इ.

अर्थातच ही वृत्तपत्रांतील टिपणं असल्यामुळे त्यात कमालीची विविधता आहे. ‘टपाल संस्थेची तीनशे वर्षे’, ‘मुंबईतला पहिला बर्पâ’, ‘साठ सालातील भ्रष्टाचार’, ‘आंबरसात कोकणी कावा’ इ. अनेक प्रकारची टिपणं यात वाचायला मिळतात.

‘शेटाणीचे प्रेमपत्र’, ‘कशास काय म्हणू नये’, ‘भूपाळी विणकNयाची’, ‘रबर जिंकाच’ या कवितांचाही समावेश या पुस्तकात आहे.

लता मंगेशकर यांच्या शिरीष पै यांनी घेतलेल्या मुलाखतीचं टिपण ‘तुळशीची मंजिरी लता’ या शीर्षकासह या पुस्तकात वाचायला मिळतं. तर शिरीष पै यांच्या लग्नासाठी सोपानदेव चौधरी यांनी रचलेल्या मंगलाष्टकाचाही या पुस्तकात समावेश आहे.

‘अत्रे-फडके वाद’, ‘अत्रे आणि माटे’ ही टिपणंही वाचण्यासारखी आहेत. येवढंच नाही तर प्रा. कृष्णाजी पांडुरंग कुलकर्णी यांनी १९४५ सालच्या नवयुगच्या दिवाळी अंकात दीडशे वर्षातील शंभर कर्तबगार महाराष्ट्रीयन व्यक्तींची जी सूची दिली आहे, तिचाही समावेश या पुस्तकात आहे.

तर हे पुस्तक म्हणजे विविधरंगी टिपणांचं, कवितांचं, लेखांचं, विडंबनांचं संकलन आहे.
