Sawant, a great author of his time. He has made the personalities come alive. those from the bygone era and mythology. They meet the readers of the 21st century and we cannot but get connected to them immediately. The distance of eras simply wipes off. That is the magic the author creates with his words. I have come across this special characteristics throughout his writings. Another important aspect of this author is his style of acknowledgement. He does not shun away when it comes to appreciating the work of contemporary writers. He is not interested in pin-pointing the faults or flaws that othes may have. Instead, he just acknowledges the Midas Touch that every one of us seems to possess. This touch might come in various dimensions. It may be devotion for some and innovation for others whereas social commitment for yet others. Sawant has portrayed the historical and mythological characters extremely well through his novels. He treats his short stories with the same vigour and vitality. As his novels have the immense capacity to mesmerise us, his stories also possess the same qualities. I am sure that the readers will enjoy reading as ever.या लेखसंग्रहात त्यांनी जी व्यक्तिचित्रं उभी केली आहेत असली ती समकालीन तरी त्यांच्यापेक्षा वयानं मोठी आहेत. ग. दि. माडगूळकर, तात्यासाहेब शिरवाडकर, रणजित देसाई, बाळासाहेब ठाकरे, सुमित्राराजे भोसले प्रभृती मोठ्या माणसांची प्रसंगविशेषी जी व्यक्तिचित्रं रेखाटलेली आहेत ती आदरभावानं भरलेली आणि भारलेली आहेत. त्यांच्या गुणांचं भरपूर माप त्या त्या मोठ्या व्यक्तींच्या पदरात टाकलेलं दिसतं. ही व्यक्तिचित्रं रेखाटताना ते स्वत: लहान होऊनच त्यांच्या दारी जातात. लहान होऊनच तिथे बसतात. त्यांच्याशी आदरानं बोलतात आणि नंतरच त्यांच्याविषयी आदरानं लेखणी चालवतात.
