Die vorliegende Studie geht in ihrem Kern der Frage nach, inwiefern so etwas wie ein "Kanon im Kanon" an Bibeltexten für den Evangelischen Religionsunterricht existiert und welche Faktoren bei dessen Konstituierung implizit oder explizit leitend sind.
Dieser Frage vorgeschaltet ist eine theologische Auseinandersetzung mit dem "Bibelkanon" aus protestantischer Perspektive, da die Prämissen und Schlussfolgerungen, die hier leitend sind, unmittelbare Konsequenzen dafür haben, welche Rolle man dem Bibelkanon im Religionsunterricht zumessen möchte und wie man dem Phänomen eines "Kanons im Kanon" begegnen will.
