An Offer From a Gentleman: Bridgerton

I’m not usually a big fan of Cinderella stories, but "An Offer from a Gentleman" by Julia Quinn is definitely well done. The way Quinn weaves together romance, humor, and genuine emotion is truly captivating. I came across a review that criticized Benedict for being a horrible person, but I don’t agree with that perspective. While his suggestion may seem appalling by today’s standards, it’s important to remember that the story is set in a different time, and the characters reflect the societal norms of that era. Benedict's character is complex; he has his flaws but also shows a genuine desire to connect with the heroine, which makes their relationship all the more compelling. The dynamic between him and the protagonist is beautifully developed. It's a wonderful read that had my heart bouncing! The blend of romance and a touch of drama kept me engaged, and I appreciated how the story tackled themes of love, identity, and societal expectations.

I couldn't put this book down! A true gentleman with a marvelous heroine. I wished book 1 and 2 would have been this well written. I rate it a 4.7 out of 5, 4.8 if you add in epilogue 2.

lovely story with the old style of Cinderella, was fun,heart warming, a bit of suspense and mystery. All round an enchanting love story perfect, what would one want anything more xx
